About Me
Name: Rebecca
Location: London, United Kingdom
First a New York PR maven, then a boring suburban housewife, now an expatriate living abroad. Whatever will I think of next? Join me, my husband and our two small children as we interrupt our regular lives to move to London for a few years. The best thing we've ever done or pure folly? Only time will tell...

What a beautiful collage! I'm going to miss reading your family adventures in London. Please keep the blog alive and let us see the beauty of New Jersey as well. You are a very talented writer with a wonderful family. Godspeed!
Okay, I am totally crying. I will miss England right along with the Tompkins family, because I will miss seeing it through your eyes. Love, etc.
Awww. That was so (*sniff, sniff*) sweet. Selfishly, I'm with SH: sad to see you go because I'll so miss seeing London through your eyes. Though, of course, so looking forward to the posts about how you're seeing America when you return. (*sniff, sniff*)
That was the most beautiful, moving, and concise expression I've seen of everything our family hopes to experience and accomplish during our own upcoming relo. If in two years we can post anything half so powerful and eloquent, the time will have been well spent. Thanks for paving such a grand and soulful example.
{sigh} I cried. Does that surprise you? ;) I love hat Suburban Hippie said - I will miss Europe through your eyes. But like Jennifer, I look forward to y'all rediscovering NJ and your wonderful hometown.
Another one in tears here. :( I can remember so many of the stories associated with those pictures.
Awww...great slide show. I'm with the others who will miss Europe through your eyes, but am looking forward to hearing of your impressions upon returning to NJ.
That was beautiful...I'm looking for more beautiful pics and thoughts as you return stateside.
Best of luck.
Rebecca, that took my breath away and I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. Amazing slideshow, amazing experiences, amazing family.
I'm misty eyed! What a wonderful journey you've been on, and such great experiences for your children to look back on (even if some memories are only photos). You family is beautiful and I hope you continue to blog Somewhere on this side of the Pond. I've been following your posts for a year now (and made sure to spend a few days completely catching up in the beginning). :)
Thought of you today (09/15) when I saw a New Jersey license plate. I hadn't seen this slideshow first time round (don't know how I missed it). It's lovely. Really thoughtfully put together. I expect it's all very nostalgic for you now.
Marvelous that you were able to meet Einstein when you were in England.
